James and I made it out of the house this weekend, on Friday for fireworks at Lime Rock and on Saturday for Project Troubador at the Town Grove.

Our photos (James had to do the fireworks; I was having no luck at all) are slated to run in this week’s paper.

I really enjoyed both events, despite the heavy-handed immigration fairy tale at Project Troubador. James was a little pouty about my having to cover stuff on the weekends, but I think overall he enjoyed himself. It was just nice to get out. We’ve been so caught up in work and the house and side projects that we barely go anywhere any more. We used to do stuff like this all the time.

It’s summer. We should be doing more.
